General Data Protection Regulation

The Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM) is the controller of personal data provided to us and is therefore committed to respecting the privacy of individuals. As required by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office.

We collect and use information about people we work with in order to operate and carry out our functions. These may include members of the public, current, past and prospective employees, clients and customers and suppliers. This information will be collected, processed and stored under controlled provisions; with data protection and security at the forefront of all processes to ensure GDPR compliance. We are fully committed to supporting individuals in expressing their rights under the GDPR.

We regard the lawful processing of personal information with extreme importance to our successful operations and essential to maintaining confidence between the Institute and those with whom we carry out business. We therefore fully endorse and adhere to the Principles of the General Data Protection Regulation.
