Overview

Register your place now for ‘Navigating turbulent times’ episode 25 when David Sharp, IWFM Impact Award Lead Judge, is joined by fellow judges to discuss the inspirational winners of this year’s Awards - including the four COVID-19 Response Awards - and reflect on the effect that the profession’s response to the pandemic has had on workplace and FM’s standing and estimation more widely.

The special COVID-19 Response category was an addition to the annual IWFM Impact Awards to acknowledge extraordinary acts in extraordinary times – and the entries, let alone the finalists, certainly lived up to the billing.

After a public vote, Lloyds Banking Group and Mitie won for ‘keeping good work going’, Ashdown Phillips & Partners were rewarded for ‘supporting the community’, NHS Property Services were successful for their work ‘on the COVID frontline’, and University of Greenwich, Gardiner & Theobald and Sodexo jointly triumphed for ‘adapting to new realities’.

With the Awards turning twenty in this unusual year, join David and his panel to get their insights on the qualities and attributes the shortlisting panel looked for in choosing the finalists to put to the public vote, and hear their reflections on the impact of this novel accolade and the Awards more widely.

What stories stood out for them among the scores of amazing entries? What made the eventual winners stand out from a superb crowd to make the final cut and go on to win the public vote? Has the COVID-19 experience been a game changer? What do these Awards tell us about the enduring impact the pandemic will have on the profession? With a deep understanding of the facilities profession and decades of judging years between them, we are guaranteed a great discussion.
