Join the IWFM Ireland Region at our first in person networking event in two years at the Arrol Suite in the Guinness Storehouse. Ireland Region Chair Conor Cooney will share the committees’ strategic objectives and then, to support stress awareness month, will introduce special guest speakers Rory O’Connor and Ray Goggins to talk about mental health and wellbeing.
Over the years, comedian and best-selling author Rory O'Connor of Rory's Stories has become a true advocate for mental health in Ireland, sharing his own personal story with so many. Ray Goggins, a former Special Forces operator, and Chief Operator on RTE's Ultimate Hell Week understands the toll certain internal hardships can take on people, and in turn, has the ability to encourage them to keep on pushing through it. Since meeting on Hell Week, Rory and Ray recognised the need for more open and honest conversations about wellbeing and mental health. Although serious topics, they bring some humour and great stories to the talk as well, ensuring everyone walks away with some takeaways for their own positivity and wellbeing.
