2 December 2020 12pm – 1pm Webinar Online

Overview

Register now for episode 30 of ‘Navigating turbulent times’ when we will be joined by Social Value Portal and an expert panel to introduce the long-anticipated facilities management specific social value framework, which will enable our profession to measure and demonstrate the social value it delivers.

IWFM’s recent Sustainability Surveys and a dedicated Leaders’ Forum Report have pointed at the need for FM-specific social value metrics. Lowest cost FM provision is rightly no longer accepted as greatest value; additionally, workplace and FM professionals have been keen to demonstrate the added value they deliver and the impact they often make on people and communities, over and above the cost of a contract.

Since 2019, IWFM has been collaborating with The Social Value Portal and the National Social Value Taskforce to develop an FM-specific framework that will allow our profession to drive social value through their service provision, whether in house or as a supplier, and that would show the difference they are making.

The FM Plug-In has been developed with the support of FM experts from across the sector and has seen several rounds of public consultation earlier in the year. This webinar sees the introduction to the outputs of all that work and the tools that will be available to our members.

Join us Wednesday for a presentation on the new framework and supporting guidance and tools, as well as discussions on how to implement a social value framework, and the associated barriers, challenges, and rewards. As always, our panel will also take your questions, too.
