Webinar: join us for ‘The future is hybrid: IWFM’s research and post-pandemic workplaces’
Work is changing. The third phase of IWFM’s time-series research into remote working during the pandemic has revealed that 63% believe the office is unnecessary, whilst most also miss being there. A confusing picture? Not really because 63% also want to be ‘hybrid working’ in future: mixing work between home and the office as needs dictate.
Simply saying that three days a week in the office is the new norm belies the complexity around making it a reality. This is the case in particular for workplace and facilities management professionals who are going to have to lead their organisation’s response to this in the coming months as lockdowns ease and choice of workplace returns.
Using data from this latest research (captured in March 2021; previous polls took place in April and June 2020), we will explore the challenges in more detail, ably supported by a panel of experts from PwC and Sullivan Brown Resourcing Partners. They will help us understand those challenges in more detail with real-world experience and their expert guidance on how to ensure that organisations can gain the benefits of hybrid working without falling into some of the potential pitfalls.
We will:
- explore demographic drivers behind the desire to split time between the office and other locations
- debunk some of the less helpful headlines in the national media
- consider the wider organisational implications of hybrid working beyond workplace and facilities teams.
