Facilitate webinar

On Tuesday 24 May at 12:30pm, Facilitate is running a webinar that asks one of today’s biggest questions: how important is physical presence and ‘water cooler’ moments to workers' health and productivity?

As organisations recalculate their future office footprints, planned or more often unplanned meetings in familiar surroundings are those through which camaraderie, company culture and common purpose can be nurtured.

Putting a value on these interactions - and on physical presence in general - is a key element to determining the size and design of future office space. But there’s a wide gamut of issues to address:

The psychology of proximity – what does face to face communication do for creativity and productivity? What is it that Zoom can never replicate?

Building up belonging – what are the impacts on team structure and cohesion of varying levels of physical meeting, and what behavioural change programme may be necessary to maximise time spent in each other’s company?

Health, hydration and happiness – what physiological factors come into play when team members get together, and how should organisations meet such needs in the workplaces of the future? What is the role of wellbeing-related building standards here?

The guests joining Facilitate editor Martin Read to add their experience and stats to the debate are:

• Dan Pilling, workplace consultant at TSK
• Colombine Gardair, Director of Innovation at Advanced Workplace Associates (AWA)

• Andy Johnston, key account specification manager with BRITA Vivreau

We’re also keen to hear from IWFM members with their own experiences or questions. To register for the live event, please click here:
