John Carrillo, CFM, IFMA Fellow begins term as Chairman of Global FM

Immediate Past Chair of the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) John Carrillo, CFM, IFMA Fellow began his two-year term as Chairman of the Global Facility Management Association’s (Global FM) Board of Directors on 1 February.

Carrillo’s appointment as Chair Elect was ratified by Global FM’s board in September of 2020. He moves into the role following Duncan Waddell, who served as Chairman for eight years.

Welcoming the appointment, IWFM CEO and Global FM board member Linda Hausmanis said:

‘John takes the helm of Global FM a crucial time of both challenge and opportunity for the workplace and facilities management sector. Responding to the global health emergency, which continues to dominate agendas, has accelerated trends and whetted appetites for change in our sector that have been brewing for decades.
