Ilaria Agueci

Social Value Regional Lead London & South East

Ilaria is responsible to drive social value for clients in both the public and private sectors.  She has 10 years of experience in local government.

Guy Battle

CEO, Social Value Portal

Guy Battle is an environmental engineer, a specialist in social value. Guy has worked across many sectors of industry and much of his career has been focussed on the creation and building of innovative new businesses always with a social mission at their heart.   

Guy as the founder and CEO of the Social Value Portal which he set up in 2015. Social Value Portal works across sectors providing an online solution for measuring, procuring and managing social value. Guy is also the creator of the National Social Value Measurement Framework (The National TOMs) that have become the most widely used methodology for measuring and reporting social value in the public sector.

Guy also provides executive support the National Social Value Task Force and was previously involved in the National Advisory Board on Impact Investment. Guy also chairs Riversimple, a zero emissions mobility solution that builds and operates a growing fleet of hydrogen electric vehicles.

Previously, Guy founded dcarbon8 Ltd (2006), a specialist carbon management and sustainable business consultancy that specialises in the carbon analysis, measurement and management was acquired by Deloitte in 2010 when Guy became the partner responsible for carbon and sustainability within the practice.

Guy was also one of the founding partners of consulting engineers Battle McCarthy (1993), an engineering and landscape consultancy specialising in the design and delivery of sustainable solutions for the built environment and became a recognised a thought leader within his field and during his career has worked on a number of highly innovative building designs and consultancy projects including building work with Foster and Partners, Will Alsop, Sir Richard Rogers, SOM, KPF and Perkins & Will.

Andy Candelent

Head of Facilities Management, Leadec

A certified member of IWFM and recipient of IWFM’s Level 6 Extended Diploma in Facilities Management, Andy has over 20 years’ experience in the industry. After success in various challenging roles with both service provider and client organisations, Andy is now head of facilities management for Leadec, a specialist provider of FM services in the manufacturing and industrial sector. He is also an active volunteer for IWFM, supporting the Institute as founder and chair of the Manufacturing Working Group, a committee member for both the International SIG and Midlands Region, and a lead judge for the IWFM Impact Awards 2020.

James Low

Global Head of Responsible Business, Mace Group

James leads Mace's Responsible Business Team, with 16 years’ experience delivering sustainability and social value outcomes for global clients across strategy, design, construction, and facilities management life cycle stages.
