Overview

If you’re planning on attending the Workplace Event 2024 in Birmingham on Wednesday 1 May, then make sure you join us at our post-show event in collaboration with the IWFM Midlands Region and Workspace Special Interest Group (SIG) at 10x by Spacemade at Brindley Place afterwards.

We will be joined by guest speakers Greg Davies from Assurity Consulting, who will provide an update on duty holder requirements and Christine Bailey from Thomas Franks, who will describe how improved food provision in the workplace can improve wellbeing, attention and productivity. Spacemade will also be offering tours of their new space in Brindley Place.

The talks will be followed by a Q&A session with refreshments, raffle and an opportunity for networking.

Group Director of Nutrition & Wellbeing, Thomas Franks

Christine is an award-winning Performance Nutritionist, Chef and Author with over 20 years of experience in the Health & Fitness, Corporate and Food industry.  As Group Director of Nutrition & Wellbeing at Thomas Franks Christine heads up the nutrition & sustainability work for the company. She is a well-known lecturer on nutrition in the UK and USA, author of over 14 health and recipe books including the Brain Boost Diet, My Kids Can’t Eat That, Go Lean Vegan & The Gut Health Diet. Christine is also a journalist for many health and fitness magazines and regularly appears in the media including BBC programmes on stress and teenage mental health.

Greg Davies

Director of Market Development, Assurity Consulting

Greg has worked for over 32 years in health, safety and environmental compliance management covering aspects including Legionella, H&S, fire, asbestos, building environment quality, energy, waste and sustainability.

A degree-qualified microbiologist and registered expert witness, he joined Assurity Consulting in 1989. Greg is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Public Health, Specialist Member of the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) and currently Chair’s both the IWFM Sustainability Special Interest Group and IIRSM London Branch committee

Greg is a regular blogger and contributor to our industry press, with over 250 articles published on environmental management/sustainability, health and safety and risk. He chaired the CIBSE committee that revised TM13, was the author of the original IWFM good practise guide to risk management and has been survey lead for the IWFM sustainability in FM survey for the last 8 years.

On subjects ranging from water management to the “Red Tape Challenge” Greg has also spoken at events for, or been involved with, organisations including Defra, PHE, IIRSM, DECC, BSC, RICS, CIEH, BSRIA, CIBSE, IWFM, IOSH, CIEH and the London Health and Safety Group
