Award

The COVID-19 Response Award has been created, in association with Facilitate Magazine, to recognise the extraordinary work that workplace and facilities individuals have undertaken with pace and professionalism at the frontline of the nation’s effort to combat COVID-19 and protect the public.

This special award celebrates outstanding individuals or teams and the positive impact they have made in responding to these unprecedented circumstances. The winning entry will encapsulate the spirit and professionalism of workplace and facilities management at its best. It will demonstrate all the hallmarks of a high-performance individual or team and be an inspiration in and beyond our profession.

This category is free to enter and multiple entries are allowed. The judging for this award will be by vote from your peers and Facilitate readers to determine the overall winner. The entry criteria period is between 1 March 2020 and 1 August 2020 and entries must be submitted by 12 August 2020.

Who should enter?

We have seen extraordinary examples of individuals and teams mobilising quickly to the national effort. Workplace and facilities professional’s have demonstrated their importance to organisations’ abilities to operate during the lockdown, while keeping unoccupied buildings safe and secure, all while maintaining productive working environments, well-being and connection during a time so many are working remotely.

The winner or winners will have created an impactful response to a problem or set of circumstances brought about by the pandemic: whether in the provision of a service/process or through a product/creative innovation and/or behaviour.

Examples of projects or initiatives may include (but not be limited to) the following:

  • Demonstrating excellence in managing and maintaining key relationships or contracts
  • Maintaining productive working environments, well-being and connection whilst working remotely
  • Managing a workforce’s re-entry back into the office
  • Leading or supporting key projects large and small
