Thursday 7 July saw the long-awaited return of the IWFM North Region Charity Ball! The event was attended by around 400 workplace and facilities management professionals, their clients and supply partners. An incredible event had been arranged by the subcommittee led by Mark Muncaster, Chair of the IWFM North Region.

As always, the grand reveal of the theme took place at the call for dinner and this year was probably the best the North Region had delivered. It was based on the original Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory with the call for dinner delivered by Willa Wonka himself and his trusty Oompa Loompas.

LinkedIn was awash with exceptional feedback for the night and at one point seemed to be the only thing you could read on the platform.

Mark Muncaster said of the event: ‘It was an incredible and emotional evening having missed the event for the past two years due to the global pandemic. It was fantastic to see so many people back at the event enjoying themselves, networking with new and old colleagues.

‘I’m really proud of what we delivered for the attendees and the money we’ve raised this year has been amazing - more on this to follow. This was to be my last year as event organiser for the North Ball, but due to a little peer pressure, a great evening and a glass or two of wine, I have agreed to lead the organising for the 2023 event.’

Planning for next year’s North Ball will commence in September and tickets will go on sale sometime late this year. Should you require any information relating to the event, please contact Mark Muncaster at: [email protected]
