The IWFM Sustainability Survey is a landmark in the UK’s workplace and facilities management (WFM) year, and it’s time to add your voice to this year’s survey.

In partnership with Equans UK & Ireland, and developed with the IWFM Sustainability SIG, the 2025 survey will continue to build on our ongoing research which aims to create a fully rounded understanding of the sector’s role in the move towards net zero.

This year's survey has a particular focus on planning and impacts surrounding climate-related risk in WFM, and looks to explore the relationship between WFMs, suppliers and sustainability in the supply chain.

The insights we gather will inform strategic decisions, drive practical actions, and create new tools and training.

IWFM’s Head of Policy and Insight, Andrew Gladstone-Heighton, said 'the WFM sector is a crucial enabler of sustainability practice across the businesses they serve; this survey is a critical component in understanding and celebrating the great work already undertaken, and what else we can do to push this agenda forward.’

Amelle Mestari, Procurement & CSR Director at Equans UK & Ireland added: ‘Amid ongoing global pressures from economic volatility to the escalating impacts of climate change, organisations continue to demonstrate a strong commitment to net zero, pursuing solutions that not only advance sustainability, but also deliver commercial value. That’s why we’re proud to once again partner with IWFM on the launch of the 2025 Sustainability Survey. This year’s focus on climate adaptation, resilient supply chains, and workforce competencies reflects the complex landscape that workplace and facilities management professionals must navigate. Through this partnership, we aim to provide actionable insights and strategies that empower practitioners to accelerate their organisation’s sustainability journey.’

The survey is open until 9am Monday 7 July. It takes 10-15 minutes to complete, and is open to participants in the UK, Isle of Man and Channel Islands. It is anonymous and IWFM takes care to only share aggregated data.
