Hosted by Martin Read, the Editor of Facilitate magazine, you have the chance to pose your questions to a panel of leading workplace and facilities management experts, including IWFM Chair Mark Whittaker.

Maxcene Crowe is a facilities management consultant. She specialises in mobilising supply chains across EMEA. Maxcene is the author of mobilisation mastery, has written articles for trade journals and has been a speaker at industry conferences. She has worked with over 4000 suppliers worldwide and has won various awards for process re-engineering, and pan-european tenders.

Louisa Kidson

UK Head of Workplace Services and Facilities Management, Taylor Wessing LLP

Louisa Kidson, FCMI MIWFM works in corporate and professional environments managing workplace operational design and delivery alongside the strategic management of the Property portfolio. Louisa has an advisory capacity to directors and board members and is involved in the project management of high-end large refurbishment projects, both via the design and build process and traditional procurement method.

Martin Read

Editor, Facilitate Magazine

Martin Read has edited the IWFM’s media brand Facilitate - formerly FM World - since 2011. During this time he has overseen the title’s evolution in terms of frequency, format and focus. His thirty years of media experience is in the B2B, client publishing and membership organisation sectors where he has previously edited titles in the logistics, small business, public transport and group travel sectors. 
 
Martin has written for a variety of media brands on the topic of workplace and facilities management since the turn of the century. This led to him also editing The Planner, the magazine of the Royal Town Planning Institute, through which he seeks to continually develop fresh conversations about the current and future built environment.

Mark Whittaker

IWFM Chair, IWFM
Mark Whittaker, CIWFM, was appointed the role of IWFM Chair on 1 October 2021. Mark has worked in our profession for 18 years, and has a leading role in consultancy at Thomson FM Ltd. His journey with the Institute started a decade ago, when he answered a LinkedIn post asking for volunteers to help with the then BIFM Lancashire Group. In the years that followed, he became Deputy Chair and then Chair of IWFM North Region. Under his leadership, the team was named ‘Region of the Year’ three years running. Mark was awarded "BIFM Regional Volunteer of the Year" in 2015 and has since been an ambassador for IWFM’s Career of Choice school’s programme. He joined the Board as a Non-Executive Director in 2019 and also serves on the Audit & Risk Committee. His new role begins on 1 October.
