Overview

Waterborne pathogens such as Legionella can cause potentially fatal diseases, which is why it’s vital to understand your role in improving water safety in the workplace.

Join this short presentation on the background of Legionella and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, including those who may be vulnerable, favourable conditions for pathogens to thrive, and control strategies you can implement. We identify three key stakeholders that can impact on quality of water within your systems, allowing these naturally occurring pathogens to establish in the first place. And we look at how they can easily spread further to affect people’s health. With knowledge of the ‘Chain of causation’ and some simple dos and don’ts, you’ll leave with a new understanding of water hygiene, and what managing water safety means for workplace and facilities managers.
