IWFM’s Scotland Region has collaborated with industry and business leaders to re-establish its conference for 2024. Taking place on Friday 16th February, between 8am to 4pm, the conference will be exploring developments in the workplace and facilities management (WFM) sector over recent years, against the backdrop of a global pandemic and the evolution of the Institute, which recently celebrated its 30th anniversary.

To mark that milestone we recently set out ‘three FM trends for the future’: embedding workplace strategy as a service; putting people, the planet and profitability on the same footing; and the relationship between smart buildings and WFMs in meeting the industry’s needs.

At the conference, you will hear from experts and learn how WFMs and their service professional teams can support these key megatrends for the future.

Speaking on the forthcoming conference, Sandy McNaughton Msc CIWFM, Scotland Regional Chair, stated: “We have witnessed meaningful change in workplace and facilities management since 2020 with the impact of the pandemic, and we recognise that the role of the Facilities Manager is evolving.

“The IWFM local committee have been working hard to bring together a diverse range of speakers and exhibitors to highlight the future of the workplace, and how this will be supported by WFM. We look forward to welcoming our members and associated professional partners to what will be an exciting and educational conference.”

“Thanks to our headline sponsor ISS, regional sponsors MITIE, Morgan Hunt and CBRE, conference sponsors Lanes Group, EMTEC, AV One and the numerous exhibitors who will be present to provide technical and product support.

We look forward to welcoming you to ‘The Future of Facilities Management’ Scotland Region Conference at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium.
