Last year, we issued a questionnaire to IWFM volunteer leaders so we could measure the equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) profile of our governance and leadership teams. We did this because of our commitment to improving EDI across IWFM, its membership and the profession, as outlined in our EDI public statement. You can find the result of that benchmark report here.

To help us progress and track our commitment, we are repeating this exercise by issuing the questionnaire to Awards lead judges, Board NED members and NED applicant members, Board committee members, and Region, SIG, and Working Group Chairs, who have until 9.00am on 29 May to complete the questionnaire. We thank them for their support towards achieving greater inclusion.

The findings will continue to add to our understanding of EDI in our organisation and where the barriers are, which ultimately helps towards removing those barriers.

We intend to publish the anonymous findings and the EDI make up of our governance and leadership structures in advance of this year’s AGM on 27 July

To increase our transparency and encourage greater inclusion, we will also include last year's results in the 2022 Annual Review, which will be available soon, and this year's results in the 2023 Annual Review, which is due to be published in summer 2024.

If you have any questions about the questionnaire or the wider EDI work to implement the commitments outlined in the EDI public statement, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with our Head of Policy, Sofie Hooper, on: [email protected]
