We’re delighted to announce that our next Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held at The Queens, City Square in Leeds, UK on Thursday 25 July. Remote attendees will be able to join virtually. The meeting is an important opportunity for members to network, learn and engage with the Board, exercising their vote to contribute to the Institute’s future direction.

At the AGM, members can view our 2023 Annual Review, which offers insight into IWFM’s activities and actions over the year. This is underpinned by a commitment to leading change in workplace and facilities management (WFM), to raise the profession’s voice and show the positive influence of WFM on organisational performance.

The AGM coincides with news that Mark Whittaker, CIWFM, is to serve a fourth year as Chair of the IWFM Board, after a decision by the Board to extend his tenure by a further year. Following a 2023 review of the Institute’s Governance structures resulting, new rules came into effect to allow an incumbent to remain in position for a total of four years, following a formula of a two-year term, then two one-year extensions if the Board so decides.

Jenny Thomas, Director of Communications and Insight, IWFM said, ‘To continue to promote professional standards, foster innovation and benefit organisations, the AGM is an example of our commitment to facilitating discussions and collaboration, ensuring our sector remains at the forefront of vital developments.’
