IWFM Academy is launching a brand new, IOSH approved, Managing Safely e-learning programme, expertly tailored for workplace and facilities managers who need to keep their training up to date.
IWFM’s unique new e-learning programme is approved to meet the internationally recognised IOSH Managing Safely syllabus, is sector specific and is delivered online at your own pace. It provides everything managers in FM and workplace need to know about health and safety on a practical, day-to-day basis, and it provides a blueprint for busy professionals when managing safely is a key component of their role.
There’s never been a better time for your employees to get up to speed with changing legislation and evolving best practice through IWFM’s new Managing safely e-learning course and until now there hasn’t been a dedicated e-learning programme specifically designed for WFM teams. IWFM's programme is unique in its flexibility and, thanks to its online delivery, it requires no time out of the office.
You can pause and return to your course at any time and you’ll get 21 hours of learning and enhancement of your skills. It’s available for registrations from 7 October 2025.
On completion of the Managing safely course successful delegates will be able to:
- Describe the key reasons to manage safety and health in the workplace
- Define the key terms relating to safety and health
- Identify how the law can have an impact on safety and health in the workplace
- Describe how to assess, reduce and control risk in the workplace
- Identify workplace hazards and risks, their impact and how to manage them
- Identify how to evaluate and respond to an incident
- List the benefits and characteristics of an effective health and safety management system

To pass the training, you’ll need to complete a multiple-choice exam and successfully complete a risk assessment project. The course has been expertly tailored by IWFM Academy to deliver the IOSH syllabus in a workplace and facilities context. It’s delivered seamlessly through the Academy’s learning management system and delegates will receive a dual-branded IWFM and IOSH Managing Safely Certificate upon successful completion.
