We’ll share the opportunities and requirements of volunteering as well as the next steps. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.

Speakers

Ian Christopher

Ian Christopher is the Volunteer Partnership Manager within the Memberships & Partnerships team at IWFM. In this role, he works closely with volunteers, committees, and strategic partners to support engagement, collaboration, and the delivery of member‑focused activity across the Institute.

Ian plays an active role in coordinating community and committee initiatives, working across forums and leadership groups to ensure strong connections between members, volunteers, and organisational priorities. He is closely involved in reviewing community activity, supporting strategic forums, and contributing to ongoing development across IWFM’s volunteer landscape.

Through his partnership‑focused approach, Ian supports the effective delivery of events, forums, and collaborative initiatives that add value for members and stakeholders alike.

Ella Gladwin

Degree Apprenticeship & Rising Star IWFM

Ella Gladwin is a Chartered Management Degree Apprentice at Thermatic Technical FM, building her career in facilities management while studying for a Chartered Business Management degree, where she is currently projected to achieve a first. Her work spans customer and stakeholder engagement, operational projects and business development. A nationally recognised early‑career professional, Ella is the Winner of the Worshipful Company of Pattenmakers Future Young Leader Award 2026 and an IWFM Newcomer of the Year Award finalist. She is involved with the IWFM Education SIG, championing early‑career development and promoting FM as a career of choice.

Scott Linnen

IWFM North Region Committee member

Scott has worked in the world of Facilities Management Recruitment for over 10 years having joined specialist recruitment business Catch 22 in January 2015. Scott is currently National Operations Director and spends his time working with clients and candidates of all levels solving their recruitment conundrums.

Scott became a volunteer of the IWFM in May 2017 when he joined the IWFM North Region carrying on a long held tradition of Catch 22 team members volunteering for what was then the BIFM. During his time with IWFM Scott has been involved in organising over 20 events and has made 100’s of connections through volunteering. Scott recently became the North Region Risings Champion which involves collaborating with the Rising FM Committee, local schools, colleges and universities to ensure Facilities Management is promoted as a career of choice in the region.

Daniel Tyler

Property Contracts Performance Manager, City of London Corporation

Daniel has extensive experience in the procurement and contract management of FM services, his career has been predominantly within the Public Sector where he has worked with local government and emergency service authorities to deliver strategic sourcing strategies, route to market appraisals, complex specifications, client-side mobilisation and in-term contract performance management. He is committed to delivering innovative solutions which meet the needs of contracting authorities and implementing responsible procurement ethics to promote social value and sustainability through supply chain partnerships.
