Public procurement: Crown Commercial Service launches new FM Marketplace portal

The Crown Commercial Service (CCS) has launched a new FM Marketplace online portal, which buyers from central government and the wider public sector can use to purchase a wide range of facilities management services. These range from maintenance and cleaning to security and catering.

Developed to provide a simplified procurement route which allows customers to focus on their key priorities, the portal offers: 

  • a compliant route to market for both further competition and direct award
  • the ability to shortlist suppliers by specific location, ready for further competition 
  • the facility to obtain an estimated contract cost 
  • storage of key information, enabling easy updates for future procurements.

Based on user feedback over the next few months, CCS will seek to improve and develop the portal to meet customer needs.
