IWFM Regions
- As part of your membership, you’re automatically linked to a regional community group based on your location.
- Regions offer local networking opportunities through events and forums.
- They help you connect with professionals nearby and stay engaged with IWFM activities in your area.
- They engage with schools, universities, and colleges to inspire future talent within the profession.
- Regions outside the UK include Ireland, Nigeria and the UAE
IWFM Special Interest Groups
Special Interest Groups (SIGs) focus on specific topics, sectors, or areas of expertise.
Current SIGs include:
- Catering and Hospitality – For those working in or interested in catering and hospitality.
- Customer Experience – For members passionate about customer-centric delivery.
- People Development – Focused on managing and developing people in the workplace and facilities profession.
- Procurement and Contract Management – Best practice for sourcing and managing supply chains.
- Risk and Business Continuity – Promoting resilience and protecting businesses.
- Sustainability – Driving knowledge and opinion on environmental best practice.
- Technology – Anticipating and navigating the future landscape of the profession.
- Workplace – Tools and insights for forward-thinking workspace solutions.

IWFM Networks
Networks bring together members with shared experiences or career stages. These groups provide tailored support, mentoring, and opportunities to influence the profession, and continue your professional development.
- Veterans in FM A community of IWFM members who are passionate about providing a dedicated career route for service leavers, and fostering an armed forces family where veterans can come together, network, and support each other in developing their careers.
- Women in FM Encouraging inclusivity for all and focusing on continuing professional development within the profession.
- Rising FMs The Risings committee is passionate about inspiring and motivating individuals to choose workplace and facilities management as their career of choice.
- Strategic Leaders Forum The SLF welcomes strategic leaders to promote, support, and foster the growth of IWFM Certified and Fellow members wherever they operate.
You can opt in to as many IWFM networks and SIGs as you choose (only Certified members and Fellows eligible to join the SLF)

Regions
We’re looking for members with skills in event planning, networking, marketing and social media, member engagement and outreach to schools and colleges to join our regional committees.
- Bring members together by running events, sharing knowledge, and promoting the IWFM Professional Standards locally.
