What we learned about the FM market in 2022

The overall findings from the 2022 Market Outlook Survey reflected the broader economic picture: challenges of supply chain squeezes; creeping inflation – especially energy prices; and a skills shortage pinching sharply now as the post-Brexit sector finds itself bereft of skilled frontline workers.

The impacts of the war in Ukraine were not yet clear, but the general outlook was one of recovery and optimism. Compared to 2021, fewer FMs expected conditions to worsen, while the optimism was often linked to expectations of a reactivated sector as workers returned to offices.

Has that proven true? That’s for you to tell us.
