20 May 2025 6pm – 8.30pm Community London, UK

Overview

Join IWFM’s Veterans in FM Network for Walk on the Wild Side – an unforgettable evening of connection, inspiration and support, hosted in collaboration with the IWFM London Region and Walking With The Wounded (WWTW).

Set in the unique surroundings of ZSL London Zoo, this event will feature a keynote address from Gregg Stevenson – former Royal Marine, WWTW Ambassador, and Paralympic gold medallist. Gregg will share his extraordinary journey from injury on the battlefield to triumph on the world stage, offering powerful insights into resilience, recovery and purpose, which will set the tone for an evening dedicated to empowering veterans in workplace and facilities management (WFM).

The evening will provide a fantastic opportunity to network with fellow professionals in the WFM sector, support the vital work of WWTW and celebrate the strength and contribution of our veteran community.

You’ll also hear an update on the progress of the Veterans in FM Network – one year on from its inaugural launch event, we’ll reflect on the impact we’ve made, the momentum we’ve built and where we’re heading next.

The event costs £20 to attend. Proceeds go towards Veterans in FM’s work in hosting events, enabling networking and supporting veterans on their civilian career path. Included in the ticket price are canapes, a welcome drink and optional early entry with access to selected zoo enclosures for an ‘FM Tour’ at either 16:00 or 17:00. The event’s formal start is at the Mappin Pavillion at 18:00.
