We’ll share the opportunities and requirements of volunteering as well as the next steps. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions.

Simon Biggs FIH MIWFM

Catering and Hospitality Chair, IWFM

Simon has worked in the catering industry for over 30 years during which time he has held directorships with some the industry’s leading contractors. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Hospitality and holds the position of Senior Consultant with Litmus Partnership, a leading catering and facilities management consultancy.

Ian Christopher

Ian Christopher is the Volunteer Partnership Manager within the Memberships & Partnerships team at IWFM. In this role, he works closely with volunteers, committees, and strategic partners to support engagement, collaboration, and the delivery of member‑focused activity across the Institute.

Ian plays an active role in coordinating community and committee initiatives, working across forums and leadership groups to ensure strong connections between members, volunteers, and organisational priorities. He is closely involved in reviewing community activity, supporting strategic forums, and contributing to ongoing development across IWFM’s volunteer landscape.

Through his partnership‑focused approach, Ian supports the effective delivery of events, forums, and collaborative initiatives that add value for members and stakeholders alike.

Louisa Clarke

IWFM Veterans in FM Network Chair, One Feather Coaching

Louisa, a distinguished leader with a remarkable career spanning both military and civilian sectors, brings a decade of dedicated service in the Royal Air Force and over seventeen years as a Managing Director in Facilities Management (FM). She now serves as an Executive and Leadership Coach.

Her remarkable achievements include being honoured as the Ex-Forces Business Leader of the Year and recognised as one of the Top 50 Workplace Leaders. Notably, she was a finalist in the English Veteran Awards, Role Model of the Year category, further underlining her unwavering commitment to veterans' causes.

Louisa proudly serves as a valuable member of the prestigious Veterans Advisory Board to the Government, where she actively shapes policies and initiatives that support veterans. Her commitment to making a positive impact extends beyond her professional life, evident in her volunteer work as an Ambassador and Non-Executive Director (NED).

Katherine Torode

IWFM Channel Islands Chair, IWFM

With more than 20 years’ experience in the world of Facilities Management, Katherine is one of the founding members of the Channel Islands IWFM Branch, launched in 2013 , and is honoured to currently hold the position of Chair.  With experience gained from working in Finance and the Professional services sectors, leading client portfolios and FM services in a number of Offshore locations, Katherine is now working in the supplier field leading a Contract Management team.
