24 September 2026 8.30am – 10.45am Community Boland Mills

Overview

Join the IWFM Ireland Region for an exclusive morning of networking and insight at Dublin’s newest meeting place: Bolands Mills.

In 1873, local baker Patrick Boland bought two cut-stone flour milling buildings overlooking Grand Canal Dock. They quickly became a beloved Dublin landmark. Since then, this dockside has had a makeover of epic proportions. Long a hive of industry, it’s now a place for everyone to enjoy. You’ll find a mix of food and drink, beauty and wellness, and cultural events.

Designed with accessibility in mind, Bolands Mills has new waterfront squares, streets, walkways, and plenty of places to relax and refresh. We will explore how Google has transformed a historic site into a world-class cultural quarter.

What we’ll cover

  • Historical context and regeneration: Explore the history of Bolands Mills, from Patrick Boland's 1873 flour milling operations to its modern transformation into a vibrant waterfront cultural quarter.
