Louisa Clarke's career is anything but conventional. After a decade serving in the Royal Air Force, she transitioned into Facilities Management, progressing to Managing Director of a prominent FM provider, where she was responsible for growing a portfolio from £1m to £100m before becoming an entrepreneur.

A professional coach, multi-award-winning leader and co-founder of The Human-Centric Workplace, Louisa is also the co-author of The Human-Centric Leader. She specialises in supporting leaders and organisations to align people and performance, so both can thrive, not compete.

Louisa is Chair of the IWFM Veterans in FM Network.

Michelle Connolly is Co-Founder and Director of 300 North - FM, Property & Infrastructure recruitment specialists. Her journey into the sector began in 2015, following a successful 15-year career in providing software solutions for the insurance and financial services markets. Drawing on the experience of working with other market leading businesses & inspirational leaders drove her desire to build an experience-focused, customer-centric business with a strong inclusive culture and highly cohesive team.

Michelle is passionate about collaborating with industry peers and connecting people to develop high performing teams, successful careers & forge long lasting relationships. As a recruitment business owner in workplace and facilities management, her aim is to attract talent from diverse backgrounds to keep the sector innovative.

Having transitioned into FM recruitment herself, she believes experience from roles outside of FM can be profoundly valuable to the industry. She advocates for FM as a promising career choice, particularly for veterans and service leavers due to the applicability of skills and experience gained in service. She is assisted by an understanding gained from having family in the Armed Forces. She's committed to promoting the Armed Forces Covenant across her networks and to making a positive impact in her field and community.

Beyond her professional work, Michelle actively supports the On Course Foundation charity, aiding injured and sick service personnel through golf events and employment opportunities in the golf industry.

David Morris is the Managing Director of The Xenon Group, a role he has held since 2002. Over the past 24 years, he has led the strategic direction of its three specialist divisions—FM Consultancy, FM Training, and FM Recruitment - guiding the organisation into a trusted partner for clients across the UK and internationally. Under his leadership, Xenon’s Training Division has earned over 160 five-star Trustpilot reviews and achieved eight consecutive years of ISO 9001 accreditation, reflecting a sustained commitment to quality and professional development within the FM sector.

Before establishing The Xenon Group, David spent nearly a decade in senior FM Operations Director and Business Development Director roles within major blue-chip organisations across the UK and Europe. His work spanned public and commercial sectors, in-house and outsourced environments, PFI programmes and large-scale FM operational projects while driving significant commercial growth.

David’s professional journey began in the Royal Air Force. After leaving sixth form with an Air Training Corps RAF Flying Scholarship, he began his military flying career at RAF Church Fenton. Later, his time as the Officer Commanding Station Services Squadron at RAF Lossiemouth—operationally comparable in scale to Manchester Airport—sparked his
passion for property and facilies management that would later shape his civilian career.

A defining moment came when David returned to RAF Church Fenton, as the final autonomous Station Commander, bringing to a close both his RAF career and the Station’s
long proud history of operations, and where his flying journey had begun over 20 years earlier. It marked a highly symbolic conclusion to a career shaped by leadership, teamwork,
and service.

Among his RAF highlights, David completed two consecutive tours as Aide-de-Camp to two Air Marshals, serving as their personal staff officer and representative at official
engagements. This role offered a rare insight into senior RAF leadership during the Falklands era and remains one of the most valued experiences of his military career.

Today, David continues to champion professionalism in Facilities Management and actively supports veteran career development within the sector. A co-author with Sue of
‘Introduction to Facilities Management: Foundational Skills for Effective Workplace Operations’, David’s work blends military discipline, commercial expertise, and a
long-standing commitment to helping people and FM organisations thrive.

Sue Morris is the Training Director of The Xenon Group, an experienced educator, director, Registered Nurse, and Health Visitor who leads all Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management (IWFM) programmes delivered by Xenon. As Senior Tutor for Levels 3, 4, 5, and 6, Sue oversees the full academic and operational management of Xenon’s extensive qualification portfolio, ensuring consistently high standards of teaching, assessment, and learner support.

Since Xenon became the first provider to deliver the full suite of the new IWFM Professional Qualifications in 2010, Sue has ensured that every External Moderation of Xenon’s assessments have been rated Exemplary. Her leadership has been central to Xenon’s position as the largest global supplier of IWFM Professional Qualifications.

Sue’s career began in nursing and public health, serving as a Health Visitor and Prescribing Practitioner. During her time living close to the Joint HQ, RAF Rheindahlen, Sue joined SSAFA, supporting military families and strengthening her commitment to service. On returning to the UK, she became Head of the NVQ Assessment Centre for Health and Social Care at Wakefield College, leading curriculum development and academic quality.

Before joining Xenon, Sue served nationally as Principal Moderator for Pearson/Edexcel Exam Board on their Health & Social Care qualifications. In this role, she worked closely with centres across the UK, helping them meet and maintain rigorous assessment standards — an area she remains deeply passionate about. Sue is an invaluable contributor to Xenon’s reputation for excellence. She is frequently acknowledged in Xenon’s 160+ five-star Trustpilot reviews, and her leadership has been instrumental in securing eight consecutive years of ‘Excellent’ ISO 9001 Accreditation for the Xenon Training Division.

A Fellow of the Institute of Educational Assessors, Sue Morris specialises in coursework assessment and moderation, bringing rigour, clarity, and fairness to every stage of the learner journey. As co-author—alongside David—of Introduction to Facilities Management: Foundational Skills for Effective Workplace Operations, Sue combines academic expertise with deep sector insight to support FM professionals at every level.

Sue’s guiding principle is simple: to ensure every Xenon student receives the highest-quality learning experience and the strongest possible chance of success. It’s a principle consistently reflected in learner feedback and widely recognised across Xenon’s training community.

Jamie Sanderson is a Co-Founder of Rock2Recovery. In 2014 along with his friend Jason Fox following long careers as Royal Marines Commandos, he became the driving force to establish the Community Interest Company that has now helped over six and a half thousand military and 999 services personal recover from stress related illness. Building on his own life experiences of the military and through his own recovery journey as a veteran, Jamie established a strong philosophy of 'Positive Change is Always Possible' and developed a Specialist Change Management approach to non-clinical therapy to ensure a 'tailor fit' approach to each individual.

Today R2R is a seven-year established Mental Health provider to the Metropolitan Police Service and remains a key provision to the military and veteran community. Jamie lives in Devon and spends his spare time in the outdoors, the ocean and trying to keep up with the effects of aging and gravity through his love for boxing and mountain biking.
