IWFM Academy has introduced a new blended delivery route for its Level 2 Certificate in Facilities Services Principles, broadening the study options available to people starting out in facilities management. The IWFM qualification is popular with new entrants and those seeking a change of career, and the new option introduces a blend of in-person and online learning as an alternative to the existing fully online delivery. The aim is to provide greater choice in how learners develop their foundational understanding of the profession.
This development reflects a growing need for additional structure, guidance and confidence‑building support among learners who are at the very start of their career journey or undertaking a formal qualification for the first time.
Forward-thinking employers see IWFM’s Level 2 qualification as a vital investment in their future workforces, providing a professional springboard to the careers of people who will go on to become their future leaders.
As the sector’s leading training provider, we’ve recognised the need for a choice of delivery methods, with the new option of blended delivery providing a range of benefits. Learning alongside a group of peers provides a powerful early networking opportunity in a dynamic, workshop environment, while the combination of learning options provides a highly engaging experience.
The IWFM Level 2 Certificate is designed to give learners the core knowledge needed to carry out well defined tasks, solve straightforward problems and build confidence in a variety of workplace settings. Until now, the qualification has been delivered entirely online through IWFM Academy’s Learning Management System, allowing learners to study independently and at their own pace.
The new blended route introduces a more structured learning experience. a variety of learning approaches, with a mix of self-led learning and workshops with your fellow learners. This format provides added guidance and opportunities for interaction, helping learners stay engaged and deepen their understanding. Most learners are expected to complete the blended route in around 18 months.
By introducing a blended option alongside the fully online route, IWFM Academy is supporting people at the earliest stage of their FM career with flexible, accessible and high‑quality learning experiences.
