Research and policy

• Return on workplace investment (ROWI) tool: Phase two of programme underway. Pilot phase results, translated in case study, expected by June.
• IWFM EDI Focus Group: Supporting activity ongoing throughout 2023, including collaboration with Board and Members’ Council. IWFM EDI survey to leadership and governance closes 9am 29 May.
• Chartered Bodies Collaborative EDI research: Final report with FM sector and full cross-industry findings due in September.
• ​Building Safety: Engagement with policymakers ongoing; second tranche of regulations affecting information requirements expected by July.
• Building Safety Alliance: Golden Thread Working Group working on information framework, mapping of roles, and competence requirements across the management of building safety sphere. The Group meets on 5 June with a full council meeting following on 7 June.
• Life Safety Working Group: Shaping multi-tool and guidance programme.
• Social Value FM Plug In: IWFM and National Social Value Taskforce working on updated guidance for FM. Head of Policy session at Social Value Conference 13/14 June.
• IWFM NEC Steering Group: NEC4 FMC practice notes development continues, including through wider collaboration across the Institute.
• Scope 3 with SFMI: Work is advancing with a wider consultation expected by July.
• IWFM Sustainability Survey 2023: Workshop with the IWFM Sustainability SIG on 8 June. The survey is due to be issued to members in July.
