Taking place on Thursday 19 November 2026, this annual conference is centred around the theme FM at the Centre – leading the organisations of tomorrow, exploring how workplace and facilities management professionals are shaping strategy, driving innovation, and creating lasting organisational impact. The conference brings together senior professionals, industry leaders, and key partners from across the workplace and facilities management sector for a day of insight, innovation, and meaningful connection.
The day will begin with a high-quality breakfast reception with networking from 8am, setting the tone for a carefully curated programme of speakers and an inspiring keynote starting promptly at 9am. Delegates can expect strategic perspectives and practical insight throughout the day.

At the IWFM Scotland Region Conference, bestselling author and reluctant futurist Mark Stevenson will explore how FM professionals can become the architects of better futures. Known for helping organisations ask the right questions rather than simply finding better answers, Mark will challenge delegates to rethink traditional approaches and embrace new ways of working, investing and leading.

Stuart Rutherford – Headwinds and Hard Choices IWFM research suggests there are more challenges and fewer opportunities in the FM sector this year with deteriorating market sentiment, continued pressure on budgets and cooling outsourcing expectations. The session will explore the challenging Headwinds that the sector is facing, drawing on the results of IWFM’s Market Outlook 2026 survey, and examine the Hard Choices already being made by managers. Importantly, it will evidence that too many organisations are being slow to react or not reacting at all to the key challenges and opportunities. It will then argue that agility and action are more important to success than ever and offer practical suggestion on how to bolster these within organisation, utilising resources within IWFM. |

Louisa Clarke FCMI MIWFM EMCC
Louisa Clarke's career is anything but conventional. After a decade serving in the Royal Air Force, she transitioned into Facilities Management, progressing to Managing Director of a prominent FM provider, where she was responsible for growing a portfolio from £1m to £100m before becoming an entrepreneur.
A professional coach, multi-award-winning leader and co-founder of The Human-Centric Workplace, Louisa is also the co-author of The Human-Centric Leader. She specialises in supporting leaders and organisations to align people and performance, so both can thrive, not compete.
Louisa is Chair of the IWFM Veterans in FM Network.
Chris Moriarty
Chris Moriarty is a co-founder of workplace experience analytics engine, Audiem, and co-host of the Workplace Geeks podcast. He has been involved in some of the sector’s most important conversations about the future of work, the workplace and the facilities profession’s role within that.
Former Director of Insight at IWFM and UK MD for Leesman, Chris is often as asked for his commentary and insight into the latest workplace trends and how organisations can embrace them.
Stuart Rutherford
Stuart is freelance researcher and writer who specialises in the Facilities Management sector. He has managed research within FM Service Providers and the IWFM, and continues to support the institute with its flagship research projects. Notably, he helped steer the research focus of the Market Outlook Survey 2026 Report and shape the resulting recommendations which will be discussed at IWFM Scotland Conference. Stuart also co-authored IWFM’s innovative Market Intelligence Report, and IWFM’s upcoming Sustainability Survey 2026 Report.
