IWFM's communities are the lifeblood of the Institute. Our Regions, Special Interest Groups and Networks are operated by teams of highly professional volunteers who dedicate their time and expertise to advancing the profession. In the process, many of them have become some of the highest profile, most respected members of the workplace and facilities community.

Can you help?

We are currently recruiting for more volunteers across several IWFM Regions, Special Interest Groups (SIGs) and Networks. You can explore our community groups here to see where you might like to get involved.

As an IWFM volunteer, you will:

  • Share your workplace and facilities management expertise
  • Grow your professional network
  • Build confidence and develop new skills
  • Inspire others and help shape the future of our profession

We welcome members with a wide range of skills and interests, including support for events and CPD, member engagement, marketing and social media, outreach activity, and specialist topics.

“Do it! You have nothing to lose and everything to gain – new connections, greater confidence, and the chance to help shape positive change within the industry.”
– Christy Smith, Chair, Women in FM Network

What to expect

Volunteering is most meaningful when you can commit time and participate actively as part of a community group. These roles are best suited to members who want to get involved and make a genuine difference.
