IWFM is pleased to announce a brand-new national roadshow focused on Strategic Asset Management, coming to locations across England this autumn. 

This series of face-to-face events will bring together members, industry experts and regional voices to explore how organisations can manage assets more effectively and sustainably in a rapidly changing landscape. 

What to expect 

The roadshow will feature a panel of experts from IWFM’s Strategic Leaders Forum and Technology Special Interest Group, alongside regional contributors at each stop to provide local insight and perspective. 

With growing focus on AI and digitisation, sessions will look at how workplace and facilities professionals can take a more informed, joined-up approach to asset management – helping ensure full lifecycle value and better outcomes.

Whether you are an established strategic leader or looking to develop in this area, the roadshow will explore key challenges and opportunities shaping the profession today. 

Discussion points will include: 

• Why effective asset management matters and the risks of ‘run to failure’ approaches 

• The implications of poorly managed assets across performance, compliance and cost 

• How the ‘Golden Thread’ connects decision-making and accountability 

• The shift away from ‘race to the bottom’ models towards more sustainable, long-term approaches 

• Responding to evolving standards, legislation and industry expectations 

These sessions aim to provide practical insight to support better decision-making at both strategic and operational levels.

• South West – 12 October 2026
